I'm a freshman at Montgomery College pursuing an A.A. in International Studies with a concentration in Political Ideologies — a stepping stone toward a four-year program in International Affairs and a career in Foreign Policy & Diplomacy.
My academic interests sit at the intersection of political philosophy, foundational philosophy, i.e., theory of knowledge (epistemology), and neo-geopolitics, e.g., the uprising and roots of the Industrial Revolution. I'm drawn to U.S.-Türkiye relations, NATO alliance dynamics, the Non-Aligned Movement, Indo-China-U.S. competition, and Islamic political thought.
Kakek Buyut was more than just an average great-grandfather — he was a national hero who served his country during a formative era of Indonesian history.
A legacy that drew me to the study of international affairs. Seeing my great-grandfather, who laid the foundation for the Tanah Air, I knew this was the path I wanted to walk, and a calling that hits home.
Every paper I write, every policy I analyze, every language I learn is, in some small way, a tribute to him.
